Rob and Haidee
Haidee and Rob Thomson are a Hokkaido-based duo who co-founded HokkaidoWilds.org in 2018. They enjoy sharing the outdoors either together or with friends and family. They’ve lived and worked in Japan for a combined 25 years.
Most of the cycle touring routes on the site, including campgrounds, daily distances, and onsen hotsprings, were plotted and planned by Haidee. Rob is in charge of photos, write-ups and maps. Haidee is an assistant professor of applied linguistics at Hokusei University. Rob is an assistant professor of media and communications at the same university, here in Sapporo City.
