This wild camp area is a somewhat moving target, as this braided section of the lower Rekifune River will change after each year’s typhoon cycle. However, at about 10km from the Pacific Ocean, canoeists will likely find some large gravel banks with plenty of dry driftwood to enjoy a leisurely overnight on their way down the river. As of August 2019, there was a large gravel bank suitable for camping around here. Look for a section of the bank with fine gravel and plenty of driftwood.
