The distressed person and a man in his 40s entered the mountain from the old road of Ashibetsu-dake at around 5:00 a.m., and while climbing a slope halfway between Ashibetsu-dake and Euphre Hut, he slipped and fell about 30 meters down the slope, injuring his right side.
