This section of the Chitose River (千歳川) is arguably the most beautiful and accessible on this pristine, crystal-clear waterway. In mid-summer, expect to be gliding over white blooming underwater flowers. In all seasons, you’ll be sharing the river with impressive yamasemi crested kingfishers. As such, this section of the river has long been known as an established route for canoes and kayaks.
