Hello,
We will be coming to Hokkaido for our first experience of Japow this coming winter. We will be in Hokkaido from Januray 25, until February 17. We are looking at skiing on piste and also living the backcountry experience. We are willing to travel and see the most of what Hokkaido has to offer. Any recommendations of places to serve us as homebase and sites that are a must as we are in the planning stages of our trip.
All information is appreciated.
Great site and keep up the good work
Thanks , Richard
Hello,
We are coming to Niseko 26.1. – 9.2.2025 and we will do mainly on piste + freeride ski.
I am taking my own ski with fixed biding (no touring options).
What Ski type of ski and what sizes (side-cut and lenght – I prefer very wide & long ) do you rent for backountry with touring bidings, of course best close to Niseko ?
What is a fee / 1 day ?
Thank you for your soonest reply.-
Jiri
Hi Jiri, cheers for the comment. I recommend you contact one of the shops listed in the post that offer ski rental. E.g. Niseko Basecamp https://nisekoskisnowboardrentals.com/
