Chris Auld
Chris Auld is a Kiwi living in Asia. As a whitewater kayaker, mountain biker and skier with a cabin in Hokkaido he’s keen to share both high adventure and family fun trips here on Hokkaido Wilds. Chris is a qualified ski guide, avalanche and whitewater rescue technician, outdoor first-aider and he makes a mean backcountry jet-boil wagyu shabu-shabu.
Chris leads lives an itinerant life between Singapore, and Rankoshi-cho. Originally trained as a data scientist and lawyer, Chris works for Microsoft in Asia. Chris is slowly improving his Japanese, but until then he’s already pretty fluent in sushi ordering and exclaiming stoke in the outdoors. Chris is a kayaker, cyclist, skier (sometimes a snowboarder), and Costco ‘bulk grade A4 wagyu beef’ mystery shopper. He’ll be doing all of the above with Miss Olivia (dob 2011) and Master William (dob 2013) who will appear in his posts as both stunt doubles and photographers with regular occurrence.
